Mary Poppins is a classic! Almost everyone knows that they can have a “jolly holiday with Mary!” as they watch the penguins dance. I remember how enthralled I was with those dancing penguins. It just made me want to take up tap dancing. Oh, and I begged my mother for a nanny. I am sure she would have loved for us to have a nanny too! But, alas, we weren’t the Banks family, and we never had dancing penguins or a nanny.

My children have seen the original Mary Poppins with Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke (which is a must-see in my book), so naturally, I was excited to take them to see Mary Poppins Returns!
I hoped that all of my childhood nostalgia would hold up as the lights went down in the theater. Please, oh please let this Mary Poppins be just as magical as my Julie Andrews. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Emily Blunt made Mary her own but kept with her just the right elements of this magical nanny to keep me happy and nostalgic.
Naturally, I could only think about Mary Poppins Returns party ideas during the whole movie! I came home and got a bit waylaid, but here is my first production!
